Aldi All Butter Jamaican Rum Mince Tarts
Review: “A tart not a pie”, I hear you cry…but calm yourselves. These are too good to miss. Suitable for serving as a posh pudding across the festive period but equally as good with a brew.

Review: The ‘merry’ label added to these very standard Co-op mince pies back in 2023 felt like an attempt to make them more appealing, brighter and to be honest it didn’t work then and it’s not working now.
Review: Every supermarket seems to have this mince pie – it’s a standard pie, no chocolate, salted caramel or crumble top, but it’s a little fancy, a sprinkle of luxury. Co-op up next.
Review: This should be considered the flagship Aldi mince pie – created to compete with the Tesco Extra Special’s of this world. Usually holds up well too.
Review: A new offering from Aldi for 2025 with the ‘Perfect Christmas’ branding, which I can’t help feeling is an attempt to make them sound more appealing. Nice try.
Review: These mince pie tarts have been a massive hit in recent years. Aldi are the masters of these. The last few years they’ve had the standard and sloe gin versions score 8s and 9s all over the place.
Review: These scored well last year, very well. A big 9/10. My comments centred around the Ballycastle cream topping and how lovely it was. Same again Aldi? Pretty close i think.
Review: Tesco’s Finest range of mince pies usually score well and this is no exception. To start we’ve got a fancy star design on top with little cut out pieces and a shake of icing sugar too. It’s a good looking mince pie – something you’d be happy to bring out to guests for sure.
Review: Many crumble topped mince pies have scored well over the years. And this Tesco pie hasn’t changed much since last time I tried it. The curious thing is they don’t come in a case. Just in the plastic tray – so you’ll 100% need a plate.
Review: I’ve reviewed many mini mince pies over the years and I’ve never encountered one worth having. It’s not like a standard mince pie is a huge eat anyway, so do we even need mini versions?
